In the American League, the Boston Red Sox are the top over squad at 21-16-3. In the last decade, Boston had one of top pitching staffs in the league. However, the Red Sox's arms have struggled so far in 2010. The team is allowing 5.5 runs per game. Cardinals are top under squad The St. Louis Cardinals are the top under team in baseball with a record 26-13-1. With Cris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright heading the rotation, the Cards have allowed an average of just 3.5 runs per game. The offense has been inconsistent despite the presence of Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday in the order. St. Louis is scoring just over four runs per outing. The San Diego Padres are next on the list of top under squads at 23-12-4. In its vast home ballpark, low scoring games are typical. Overall, the Padres staff is giving ups just three runs per contest while the offense is averaging 4.1 runs per game. The struggling Baltimore Orioles (24-14-2 under record) are the top under club in the American League. With an average of just 3.4 runs per game, the team's offense has been a disappointment in 2010.
